Hello, I’m Katherine, the founder of Hayes & White.

My candle-making journey began in 2019. I’ve always loved the atmosphere that beautifully crafted candles bring to a home and that love deepened when I attended a local workshop and discovered the joy of creating candles myself. Since then I’ve spent many happy hours experimenting and perfecting my candle-making skills.

What started as a hobby soon became something more. I began gifting my handmade candles to friends and family, and before long, I was making them for friends of friends too. With a little encouragement, I decided to turn my passion into a business and launch Hayes & White.

Each candle is carefully hand-poured in my home studio in Sussex, on the edge of the beautiful Ashdown Forest. I feel incredibly fortunate to live in such a stunning part of the country.
